SP9 questions

Welcome to SP9!

Below is the questionnaire for this round. Please post your answers to your blog before October 15th. Be sure you post the questionnaire where your pal can easily find it. :-)

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? Favorite yarns: lorna's laces, Crystal Palace, cascade, rowan, Blue sky's, Goddess Yarns, any sock yarn. Hate 100% acrylic.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I have a couple of handy dandy cases, but I've been feinding after the Susan Todd and Lexie Barnes cases/bags.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? Been knitting for 2 years. I would call myself intermediate/advanced.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? Why yes I do. I'd better update it.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)Citrusy, but not too sweet. Orange bergamot, orange ginger, eucalyptus and mint, lavender and basil

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? Not so sweet toothy. Love peppermint patties, junior mints and microwaveable kettle corn.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? Beading, quilting, scrapbooking, comic booking -I've done some drop spindle spinning and I'm not so good at it.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I can play mp3s til the cows come home. I love lotsa different music. Except hardcore gangsta rap. Top 10 bands: radiohead, fiona apple, scissor sisters, nirvana, death cab for cutie, john mayer, garbage, van morrison, david gray, Ben Harper, U2.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand? hate royal blue. Not so big on orange either. But I love pinks, teals, purples. Think Lorna's color Desert Flower. I also like the colors in Lorna's Vera.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? One husband and a cat that lives with my mom

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? yes to everything but the ponchos

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? socks, handbags,scarves, sweaters and shawls

13. What are you knitting right now? A clapotis, a cardigan and a pair of socks. Oh and a dice bag for dungeons and dragons.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? but of course!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I love all needles. But when it comes to sock needles 6" or shorter

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? Why yes I do.

17. How old is your oldest UFO? E gads theres a baby blanket that's in pieces and it's like a year old.

18. What is your favorite holiday? Hallothanksmasnewyear. I love the whole season between Halloween and New Years.

19. Is there anything that you collect? Old Susan Bates Circulars (the plasticy ones), fabric, pins, Skipping Girl handbags.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? I have subs to Interweave and Knit Simple. Would love to get my hands on the new Rebecca and the special Rebecca featuring Savannah. Would love Alter-knits, A Gathering of Lace, Vogue Accessories, Mason Dixon Knitting, oh and the Knitter's Handy Guide to Sweater Patterns.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? Lace knitting! Short rows!

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? Love socks! I'm a 9 1/2. I'll get back to you on the exacts...
